Our story
Rooted in a commitment to educate the ummah
The Cendekia Muslim Education Foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan Cendekia Muslim) grew out of a sincere effort to provide Islamic education that is both morally grounded and competitive in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Starting with Qur'an education and madrasah programs, the foundation has grown to oversee formal and non-formal schools, a research and publishing institute, halal services, legal aid, a business incubator, and foundation-owned enterprises.
All of our institutions move with one vision: to raise Muslim scholars who are faithful, knowledgeable, and beneficial to the ummah.

Message from the founder
Welcome to the Cendekia Muslim family
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim — In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh — Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
All praise is due to Allah SWT, who has honoured humankind with knowledge. May peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad SAW, the finest teacher of all time.
Allah SWT says, "Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees." (Qur'an, Al-Mujadilah 58:11). This verse lights every step we take. The Cendekia Muslim Education Foundation was born from a simple conviction: every child deserves to grow into a person of faith, knowledge, and noble character who brings benefit to others — from Sijunjung, for the ummah and the nation.
Every classroom, every training program, and every service we offer is an effort to walk the path promised by the Messenger of Allah SAW: "Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise." (Sahih Muslim). We want this foundation to be a warm home — where knowledge is planted together with good manners, skills are honed with integrity, and compassion grows into lasting good deeds.
We warmly welcome partners from Indonesia and around the world — universities, schools, research institutions, halal industry stakeholders, philanthropic organisations, and fellow Muslim communities — to collaborate with us. We believe that great change always begins with small steps taken together, with sincere intentions and open hearts.
